If value is not 1, the key is not capable of being adapted to Immobilizer. Then determine if your keys are still matched up, my guess is they're no longer matched.ĭo you have access to a full copy of VCDS, if so I'd start there. You'll need to get your immo pin one of the guys on here "imnuts" has a really good writeup in his signature on how to obtain it. kind of urgent issue so if you have seen this post on any other site please don't troll report me. With the exception of the noted ones, ALL of these appeared after my swap and won't go away. here are the results, edited to protect VIN and so forth. i used VCDS lite to clear the codes after logging them and they keep coming back.
This is where the problem started as the old cluster shows the immobilizer symbol now and the car does the whole start and stall routine.
after getting the hub done i decided to try replacing the cluster noting that the cluster would probably not function fully without programming (really wanted to see it in place, don't judge) and then swapped back.
while doing some repairs on my wheel bearing hub i decided to pick up an instrument cluster as mine is the red display and was starting to fade from the top.I found one for a good price and it was from the same series but with the color display in center (cheezin at this point). I have a (B6) 2003 A4 3.0l w/6 speed man trans. I am having a warm time with an issue and after much research on existing threads i've decided to ask for help.
